The School of Hope is doing amazing things every day for their students. What makes this school different is that it specializes in Autism. As a Mom with two boys who have Autism, I can truly say my boys would have benefited tremendously from this school. 

Sometimes public schools just don’t understand the struggles these families encounter on a daily basis, where something as simple as an unfamiliar smell can turn into a downward spiral for our children. The staff at The School of Hope is properly trained to handle those sensitive moments and embraces each student according to their needs. The school is equipped with everything needed to properly teach children with Autism.



I started at the School of Hope January of 2020 as a Teacher’s Assistant. By March 13th, Covid-19 swept our nation and our state started to shut down, beginning with our schools. In the short time I was there, I saw our students achieve huge milestones. I witnessed a shy little boy break out of his shell and start dancing! I witnessed a student gain the patience he needed to overcome his frustrations that would normally send him into tantrums. I witnessed the dedication the staff had to ensure each day was a special day for each and every student.



I admired how the staff would help each other, praise each student each day and reward them! I look forward to returning for the 2020-2021 school year at the School of Hope. As a Mom who has been where each parent who has to deal with Autism is, I understand the worry, the concern, and the fears. And I can truly say so does The School of Hope. You won’t ever find another school like this. Your child will be in good hands because this school was built on love.
